On January 17th Imma, Tim, and their daughters Aida and Alba visited us in the school. They live in Australia but Imma, the mother, is from Algerri.
They usually come every two years to Algerri and whenever they come they pop in to say hello to us.
We ask them to come when I am in the school, as for an English teacher from la Zer I share my time among the three schools. When they come to visit us we spend the afternoon doing English activities. They explain things about their country, and Tim reads a story. Last time Tim red us a nice story: "Grandpa and Thomas and the green umbrella" by Pamela Allen, and his daughter Alba helped doing funny gestures to make it easy to understand.
Then we sang some songs, acting songs like "If you're happy and you know it!", "Here we go Looby-Loo" and others. Tim loves playing the guitar, so we had lots of fun dancing and singing along with him.
Finally the children took in turns to make questions and practise some English. They enjoyed the afternoon and we all think it's a different and motivating experience to learn English.
We are looking forward to seeing them soon again!
