On January 17th Imma, Tim, and their daughters Aida and Alba visited us in the school. They live in Australia but Imma, the mother,  is from Algerri.
They usually come every two years to Algerri and whenever they come they pop in to say hello to us.
We ask them to come when I am in the school, as for an English teacher from la Zer I share my time among the three schools. When they come to visit us we spend the afternoon doing English activities. They explain things about their country, and Tim reads a story. Last time Tim red us a nice story: "Grandpa and Thomas and the green umbrella" by Pamela Allen, and his daughter Alba helped doing funny gestures to make it easy to understand.
Then we sang some songs, acting songs like "If you're happy and you know it!", "Here we go Looby-Loo" and others. Tim loves playing the guitar, so we had lots of fun dancing and singing along with him.
Finally the children took in turns to make questions and practise some English. They enjoyed the afternoon and we all think it's a different and motivating experience to learn English.
We are looking forward to seeing them soon again!

Having fun with SONGS

Another song we have been working on and enjoying a lot is What make's you beautiful  One direction. If you want to keep practicing you can listen to it again and sing along.

Sing along with Passenger, "Let her go".

ROBIN HOOD

On 11th October the children from la Zer Serra Llarga have been once more to the theatre. This time we have enjoyed the play Robin Hood. It's been very funny and we could participate singing the songs and also acting with the actors . You can watch a piece of the play.

England has a problem: the sheriff of Nottingham, the rich and bad tax collector.
Our brave hero, Robin Hood is convinced that he is the only one who can save the country. with bow, arrows and sword Robin hood fights heroically in the name of justice. He is brave, he is not afraid of the sheriff . Unfortunately he is also wrong ...!

On 11th June children from P5 from la Zer Serra Llarga go to Albesa to see an English play called Cinderella.
If you want to remember the play you can sing again the songs you have learnt.

And here you can glance at some of the pictures of the children during the play.

Els alumnes de C.S. de l'escola Sant Sebastià d'Ivars de Noguera han preparat una petita representació teatral en anglès, inventada per ells. Tot seguit podeu veure que bé ho fan. L'obra s'anomena "In the country".

HALLOWEEN

Halloween is traditionally celebrated on the night of 31st October, the night before All Saint's Day. People believed that that night all evil spirits, witches, ghosts and goblins went around at night looking for a living body.
In the school we all dress up, make a pumpkin lantern exhibition and play games related to Halloween. WE CAN'T WAIT!!!!!

And now we can all do some exercise with a nice aerobics class. Hope you enjoy it! Huh!!

FRANKENSTEIN

Wow!! We've been to the theatre, we have seen Frankenstein play and we enjoyed it a lot. You can watch a little piece of the play.
