FRUITY TOTS

Last Friday, 8th May, the youngest children from our Zer went to the theatre . The play was called "Fruity Tots", from Lool Out Theatre Company. This time  the play took place in Ivars de Noguera, where we met other children from  Zer El Jonc,  Zer El Montsec and the school Àlber from Albesa. There were lots of children, around 250, so we considered to have two different sessions.

We had lots of fun and the children had a great time singing all the songs and being able to put in practice all the vocabulary they had been learning during the English classes.

Here you have a sample of how they enjoyed it.

In this unit the children have learnt to name and describe animals, how to compare them and they have red about endangered animals.

Here you can see a small sample of their work.

Calculators, tablet, MP3 player, headphones, video games console, webcam, stopwatch, pen drive, satnav, charger... How often do you use them?
The children have elaborated a survey to their family members and asked them how often do they use them.
The youngest have been talking about the parts of a computer and what do they use a computer to do.
These are the results.

One more time, on 15th Jnuary, our Australian friends came to see us in Algerri's school.  They kindly shared one afternoon with us. This time, taking advantadges we were studying the amazing world of animals, Tim brought a nice book to tell us a story focused on this topic. The story was "Do you know who sank the boat?, we could practice some of the vocabulary we had been learning in the English class. The youngest in the school coul name all the animals and the oldest could describe them.
Then we practiced some prepositions of place through a game and we closed the afternoon dancing and singing a funny song. Tim played the guitar and we all sang and had fun.

We want to thank you once again for coming and spending some time with us. it is very nice for the kids to have the opportunity to hear real English.

Hope you are doing fine in Australia. See you soon friends!

Here you've got some photos of the visit.

GETTING READY FOR HALLOWEEN...

As soon as we start October children begin to ask for Halloween, they love to celebrate this day at school. We decorate the corridor with scary pictures, we dress up as monsters, witches, vampires, skeletons, ghosts... put on masks, and then we sing, dance and play games. And of course they all bring the pumpkins, also desguised. They enjoy and learn at the same time.

See how funny it was.

THEATRE

On Friday, 24th October we went to the theater once again. This time the play we saw was "Tarzan". The environment was great and the students participated, laughted and sang the songs we had been preparing in the English class.
See how funny it was.

In 19th June, Mo came to visit us. Mo is an English man who is staying in Guim's and Pau's house,(pupils from Sant Blai school in Algerri). He is living in their house for 5 weeks. He is a friend of the family and it was very kind of him to share some of his time with us talking in English.

He explained us lots of things from his country and from his life and also from all the places he has been in. He showed us lots of pictures. Mo loves travelling.

It was very interesting and the children loved asking him questions. They could practice real English and we had a great time with him.

We would like to see him again if he ever comes to Algerri in the future.
Good luck Mo! It's been nice to meet you.
